So I

Go in for a CAT scan to check on the status of my tumors (slightly smaller) and end up staying in the hospital because of the build up of water or pus in my stomach. I should clarify. I say stomach, because half the time, no all of it, I'm just playing catch up, or catch that word flying by. One of them might've even have been abdomen. Looking at the CT scan it was clear the build up was in my side. Also, to watch that internal lake flow and take up space next to my muscles and skeleton, kind of creepy.
Okay, not the issue here.
So... using local anesthetics—man that shot fucking hurt—they worked on draining my stomach. I watched part of through the UFO light above me with its pink tinged light and saw it just spurt out everywhere. That was actually a good feeling. I saw blood and wads of towels too, so I spent a lot of time looking away too. They worked and worked pushing and prodded the left side of my stomach. At first it was a strangely good feeling, all the bubbles in my stomach leading up to the gusher. After I didn’t know what they were doing and it just felt like they were beating up my side. But in the end they were pleased with the results. Like smiling and saying I was going to be alright. I like that, but I don’t know what’s going to happen next.
Maybe they will release me soon, all catch and release like. Here’s to hoping.

  1. Hope you get out soon too! My sister had to go in several times for this fluid buildup crap. Not fun. Sounds like the fever was related to the pus - - infection? Thinking of you all the time here! ~ Trudy

  2. Try to avoid sodium and drink less water maybe. I think fluid buildup can be a side effect of chemo in some cases. No more ham sandwiches, mister! ;) ~ Trudy
