Drain

The abscess cavity is getting bigger, but it’s good. This is what Y sensei said after he finished cleaning the cavity in my side. Then without another word left with his gang of students, or student types in tow. Okay, so what does that mean?
Good.
Bigger.
Good, as in the fluid that comes out is the mildly murky water and so a minimum of bad stuff is in there? Bigger as in that's natural? Try to put the two together. Bigger. Good. Is he just spinning the news about another delay in me getting out of here? It didn't seem like that, but I don't know. What does this ultimately mean for my recovery? And getting out of here? It's kind of a frustrating mystery. Or a math problem I'm never going to figure out, stare at my graph paper as long as I can...
My Aunt counsels patience and taking the long view and she’s right. What are you going to do about it anyway? Bring about your release by the force of your impatience? I’m just not good at waiting with grace. But I didn’t stop Y sensei with any these questions and the ever present: but what does this mean for my release timetable? I could’ve, even as fast as he was leaving, but I didn’t. I know enough not to bother with that silliness.
That’s something I guess.
